Catsense SB Meeting3 was held on May 17th and 18th 2015 at The Wolfson Building for Mechanical Engineering, Tel Aviv University, Israel.
Please find the programme below.
This SB meeting was combined with the lab course ATC3 - Electrochemistry applied to Biosensing held on May 18th, 19th and 20th 2015.
You will arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport which is located about 25 km east of Tel Aviv. While Israel is known for its strict security and travel safety checks, these security measures are similar to those currently practiced in the US. Please be prepared to answer questions regarding the reason for your visit, the length of your visit and your place of stay.
The local currency is the "New Israeli Shekel" or NIS. Currently, exchange rate is as follows: 1 Euro =4.35NIS (these rates are subject to changes). We suggest that you avoid transacting with foreign currency. We recommend that you either bring about 500 NIS with you or use the ATM machine at the airport to withdraw cash (a cash machine located opposite customs).
The campus is served by numerous bus routes, listed below according to the two main bus companies, Egged and Dan.
Egged routes: 74, 86, 274, 270, 572, 604.
The University Railway Station (Tel Aviv University station) is within walking distance from campus (on its southeast flank), or you can catch Dan routes 7, 45 and 127 to the station.
Trains run regularly (typically every 15-20 mins) from Tel Aviv HaShalom in the city center, or directly from the Ben Gurion International airport to Tel Aviv University Station.
